eBay airbag restrictions: checks for UK parts sellers

The current policy

eBay’s vehicles, parts and accessories policy prohibits airbags and seatbelt pretensioner systems. It also lists deployed or rebuilt airbags and airbag covers, and recalled airbags even when installed in a vehicle. Review the full policy for the product concerned.

Check your catalogue now

• Review active listings, drafts and scheduled listings for affected products.
• Exclude prohibited products from automated imports and relisting workflows.
• Do not change titles or categories to evade restrictions.
• Use eBay Seller Help to review flagged or removed listings.

Non-compliant activity can lead to listing removal, warnings, restrictions or suspension under eBay’s policy.

Assess the effect on your business

Review actual historical sales and unsold stock to understand your own exposure. Product value and sales frequency differ between operators; do not assume every restricted component would otherwise have sold.
